does anyone knwo what it means i get it when my laptop shuts down on me due to my modem not being installed right because i cant find nay vista drivers for it
I keep gettin this message?
The only way to know for sure what is causing the problem, is to use microsofts debugging tools to check the crash dump file. These tools will tell you which driver (by filename) caused the problem. The file name will end with a .sys extension, and will be at the bottom of the dump report with a "Probably caused by"
Tools below. Once you know exactly what is causing it by filename, google the filename to find out what uses the file and look for updates relating to it.
Reply:The only suggestion I can make is to disconnect you modem completely from your computer, and try that.
This may not be your modem. Because of Vista's problems with the Internet, both BT and Virgin have had to bring out patches to download so Vista can run on their systems.
